GADAFI FOUGHT FOR THE UNITY OF AFRICA


 In 2007, the late Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi called for establishment of the United States of Africa . He called for the unification of all African armies into a single force, arguing that this would give the continent unprecedented power and prevent it from being a target for colonizers.

In a speech he uttered that, "If we manage to unify all of Africa's armies in a single army, Africa will have such power. We must be strong so as not to be an easy prey for the colonizers."
