GHANA TRADE FAIR CENTRE REDEVELOPMENT WILL BE STARTED IN 2024

 


The Trade Fair Centre Redevelopment in Accra is a $2 billion project which will turn the old Centre into a modern trade exhibition site, including the development of a 12,000 seater trade convention center, modern hotels, retail shops, among others.










The Ghana Trade Fair Company Limited has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Stellar Holding Pte. Ltd, a company registered under the laws of Singapore, to establish a joint venture company for the financing and redevelopment of the Trade Fair site.
The agreement should see an estimated investment of $1 billion, sourced by the Singaporean company for the development of 65 acres of the total 140 acre (566,559 square meters)
Phase 1 under the MoU will focus on developing the Convention Centre and Exhibition Centre Halls to hold the World Economic Forum ,Africa.
Phase 2 will also include facilities like luxury hotels, high-end malls and other residential and commercial development
The timing and capacity of the convention center now is seen as most opportune, complimenting Ghana’s status as the “commercial center” of Africa, hosting the secretariat of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).
It is expected to alder serve as the best venue in Africa for concerts, also complimenting Ghana’s growing status as the destination of choice for young tourists during the Christmas festive season. Other developments coming up on separate sites of the Trade Fair will include a tech hub, built to serve a global market.
The overall completion of the project is to take 3 to 5 years."

Discovered in Russia in 1890, the Shigir Idol is one of the oldest known wooden sculptures, dating to approximately 12,000 years ago. It was found in a peat bog, which had preserved it. The sculpture is 2.8 metres high, but its original height is thought to have been 5 metres or more. IBRAHIM MAHAMA DONATES TO RESIDENTS AFFECTED BY THE DAM SPILLAGE

  Ibrahim Mahama is a Ghanaian businessman, the founder of Engineers and Planners, a West African indigenous-owned mining company, and the owner of several other businesses in Ghana, including Dzata Cement Limited.
